Tom Jones Barefoot in the Park Strictly Murder The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now The Price

Saddleworth Players is a thriving amateur theatre company based in the Millgate Arts Centre, Delph. The society produces five plays per season, a Christmas production and participates in the four-yearly Saddleworth Festival of the Arts. Our 2012-2013 season includes Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park, Brian Clemens’ Strictly Murder, The Price by Arthur Miller, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by Colin Smith, and the musical Half In Earnest, by Oscar Wilde - music, lyrics and adaptation by Vivian Ellis.

Our standard season consists of five plays, in additional to which we put on one act plays which tour the north of England performing in festivals, regular Christmas productions, and a subscribers’ night show at the end of each season. We always have room for new actors, workers on stage, backstage helpers, front of house and bar staff. For more information, please contact Edwina Rigby on 0161 626 3917.

We also have regular play readings which take place in the bar, which are a great opportunity for people to come along, meet people from the theatre and get involved. For more information, please contact Frank Boocock on 01457 873985.
