Saddleworth Concerts Society plays host to some of the finest national and international musical talent, right on your doorstep. With four concerts each season, it is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see some of the best in classical and contemporary classical music.
A subscription ticket for all four concerts is £50. Tickets for individual concerts are £15. Concessionary price for school children and music students is £4.00 per concert. Saddleworth Film Society is a group dedicated to providing a local outlet for high quality independent and foreign language films in the area. Showing 10 films each season, it is an opportunity to see some of the best films released each year locally and on the big screen.

Saddleworth Live was founded in May 2017 by Tim Newbold and Michael Powis. Its aim is to bring the very best arts and entertainment to Saddleworth, in collaboration with the Millgate Arts Centre, Delph. It has been producing shows in Saddleworth for the last seven years and pride's itself on playing host to the very best quality theatre, music, comedy and cabaret from around the world.
Curtain Theatre Rochdale is a unique venue in local theatre circles. Run as a private members club, the theatre is one of two in the British amateur scene for two week runs – and such is its success that it regularly sells out every night of its shows – with members travelling across the country to retain their seats.
Saddleworth Players is a member of the Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO), the voluntary sector support organisation covering Greater Manchester. The GMCVO vision is of a strong, diverse and influential voluntary sector in Greater Manchester. It supports local voluntary action by local people by providing specialist support, knowledge, voice, infrastructure and innovation, working in partnership with other support organisations and with the public and private sectors.
Guide Bridge Theatre in Tameside produces eight plays each season, as well as regular one off nights including everything from seasonal specials, to muscial entertainment and quiz nights.
Based in the centre of Oldham, The Lyceum Players produce five plays each year in the intimate theatre in the lower ground floor of the Lyceum.
The Millgate Arts Centre is operated on a long term lease from Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council.
Millgate Arts Centre is the organisation which runs the building in which Saddleworth Players is housed. Formed in 2008, MAC organises the administration and maintenance of the centre, including overseeing hire of the facilities.
Based in the centre of Shaw & Crompton, Playhouse 2 puts on five shows a year, as well as playing host to top quality music nights from some of the best local, national and international performers on the circuit. Shaw’s ‘hidden gem’ is an ideal venue for touring performers, as well as a welcoming venue for audiences.
First held in 1957, the Saddleworth Festival of the Arts aims to bring world-famous artists, rising young stars and award winners to Oldham, all adding to the rich cultural mix. The Festival covers a wide range of events, indoors and out. As well as opportunities to appear on the Festival programme, there are extensive commercial opportunities for businesses to get involved.
Saddleworth Parish Council is the administrative body for the area. Consisting of elected representatives from each village or locality, its aim is to promote, maintain and improve Saddleworth.
